Juvederm injectable gel is produced through HYLACROSS technology that makes the gel thicker and last longer, typically 6 to 12 months, and results in a smooth consistent gel. This is a primary factor in the long-lasting, smooth natural look and feel that is a hallmark of Juvederm wrinkle correction.

Juvaderm can be used to fill in wrinkles in almost any area of the face and can also be used to outline or plump up the lips.

Dr. Hammonds has significant experience injecting this and other dermal fillers in all areas of the face and has never had a patient with any significant reaction or side effect. The results are long lasting and quite amazing!

Juvederm requires no pretesting, but you should take a few precautions before being treated. Avoid using aspirin, nonsteriodal anti-inflammatory medications, St.John’s Wort, or high doses of vitamin E supplements prior to treatment, because these may increase bruising or bleeding. Also if you have history of cold sores on the face or lip, you may want to take some preventative medication before your treatment.

The most common side effects are temporary redness and swelling at the injection site. These effects typically resolve in 2 to 3 days. Most of the time, no one will know!
